Train all levels of Construction Inspectors.\n \nESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS\n \nEducation\n \nHigh School diploma or equivalent\n \nExperience\n \nMinimum of seven years experience performing construction inspection duties and interpreting, reviewing, and producing construction plans and specifications.\n \nMinimum of 7 years combined experience in construction inspections, surveying soils and materials testing or related education.\n \nProject management and survey experience required.\n \nExperience in supervision of subordinate construction inspection personnel required.\n \nProven progression in performance as a Construction Inspector II with a minimum rating of Developing or better for first one to two years and a Successful rating for the most recent two years based on the City of Lakewood's Performance Review and Development system.\n \nLicensure/Certification/Registration\n \nValid driver's license and good driving record required.\n \nA.C.I. with assistance\n Sit, stand or be stationary\n Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, turn or twist all of which may include awkward positions on both even and uneven terrain\n Talk, hear, converse, communicate, or exchange information\n Use of hands and/or fingers in a repetitive motion to handle, pinch, reach, grasp, move, feel, and inspect, etc.\n Vision to include distance, depth perception, peripheral and color\n Walk, ascend or descend on both even and uneven terrain\n \nEnvironmental Conditions may include\n\n Confined spaces\n Extreme cold or heat\n Frequent vibrations due to equipment use\n Fumes or airborne particles\n Moderate to extremely loud noise environment\n Outdoor weather conditions\n Toxic or caustic chemicals\n Wet or humid conditions\n Work in high, precarious places\n \nPhysical Requirements:\n\n Lifting and moving heavy objects could exceed 100 pounds a distance of up to 10 feet with assistance when needed.\n
