Responsibilities:
<div>The Investigator investigates reports of potential abuse, neglect, and exploitation of individuals served.  Investigations may occur in a variety of settings and are completed in accordance with Elwyn Policy and applicable licensing and/or payor requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Conducts interviews concerning the allegation of abuse, neglect, or exploitation as assigned</li><li>Review of documents, regulations and/or internal policies that may be relevant to the investigation</li><li>Collect, secure, manage and organize all evidence pertinent to the investigation</li><li>Uses critical thinking and sound judgement to analyze evidence related to the allegation</li><li>Writes comprehensive reports using proper grammar and spelling summarizing the facts obtained during the investigations as to whether abuse, neglect, or exploitation occurred</li><li>Communicates professionally and appropriately, via all communication mediums</li><li>Promotes and demonstrates appropriate respect for cultural diversity</li><li>Behaves ethically and adheres to Elwyn’s Code of Conduct</li><li>Understands and adheres to laws protecting the privacy of information relating to individuals served including HIPAA and FERPA</li><li>Maintains the confidentiality of investigation-related information</li><li>Participates in case conferences and meetings with supervisors and peers regarding case progress and disposition</li><li>Participates in continuous training</li><li>Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave policy</li><li>Works occasionally outside of traditional working hours (8 am – 5 pm), which may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays, as required for case-related functions and/or as required by management</li><li>Travels using personal vehicle</li><li>Follows timelines and meet deadlines of all deliverables</li><li>Communicates with all stakeholders (internal and external) clearly and professionally</li><li>Works with, understands, and complies with terms and conditions of collective bargaining agreements (CBA) within a unionized environment with tasks including but not limited to adherence to scheduling procedures, processing transfers and promotions, administering disciplinary actions, adjudicating grievances, where appropriate, etc.</li><li>Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), crisis intervention and medication administration using agency-trained protocols</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
