Job DescriptionThe Kitchen Tech I position is responsible for assisting in the kitchen where the company produces edible marijuana products. This entry level position is focused on assisting the lead(s), supervisor, and manager in the direct operation of kitchen equipment and creation of Marijuana Edibles. Level 1 Kitchen Techs are expected to follow company processes in a safe and timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li style="text-align:justify">Carries out tasks accurately and strictly following SOP’s including but not limited to:<ul><li>General Housekeeping (dish, mop, sweep, surface cleaning, dusting, trash disposal)</li><li>Sugaring Gummies (running sugar tumbler, sorting, quality control checks)</li><li>Demolding Gummies</li><li>Depositing Gummies (set up/break down, depositing, swapping pistons, changing O-rings, troubleshooting, stirring)</li><li>Receiving Orders (stocking, FIFO, inventory checks)</li><li>Packaging Gummies (hand packing, counting, check-weigh, band sealing)</li></ul></li><li>Follows and ensures strict safety procedures and safety checks.</li><li>Flexibility to help in other GDF departments when needed.</li><li>Operates kitchen machinery, follows strict safety protocols set forth by the company.</li><li>Follows cleaning schedule/regimen.</li><li>Ensures all workspaces are well-stocked and resourced.</li><li>Maintains kitchen small wares by picking-up, cleaning, washing, and distributing.</li><li>Keeps kitchen equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; informing supervisors of the need for repairs.</li><li>Uses effective forms of communication to address and handle situations.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.</li><li>Must have strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.</li><li>Should have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and management, and to approach conflict or disagreement constructively.</li><li>Strong organizational skills.</li><li>Must be able to understand and work within the strict confines of the laws set forth by the state with regards to its legal medical program.</li><li>Understanding of the variety of tasks required in working in a lab or manufacturing setting.</li></ul> Education & Experience Requirements<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>1+ year(s) experience in food handling related field is preferred, but not mandatory.</li></ul> Physical Requirements<ul><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.</li><li>The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.</li><li>The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.</li><li>The ability to work in hot/humid conditions.</li><li>Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity</li><li>The ability to complete fine motor functions</li></ul> At Good Day Farm, we are committed to building a diverse team and an inclusive environment for all.
