Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Med Tech (MT) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years current Medical Technologist/MT/MLS experience License: National Certification for Med Tech (ASCP Preferred) Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Ability to work independently and hit the ground running - High proficiency in testing in all areas of the lab (must be a generalist) - High proficiency in phlebotomy, chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, and reading Gram stains/plate culture specimens in microbiology - Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience is required Description: Performs and assesses validity of qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations used in the analysis, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Maintains records of tests and examinations and final results for all record functions and inquiries related to patient care.
