Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, environmental studies, marine studies, or environmental engineering preferred, or, alternatively, an Associate's Degree or minor in the same fields with at least 2 years of pertinent recent work experience is required. The Laboratory Technician must have the capability to become a Shipyard Competent Person within 6 months of being hired, and will then be expected to perform the following tasks: Confined space audits.
