p>Under the Direction of the Nurse Manager and guided by the policies and procedures of Ambulatory Services, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), provides care to OBGYN patients and uncomplicated and high-risk OB patients at both the Obstetrics Services and Perinatal Medicine Specialties practice, and GYN Surgical Specialties, UCSF Department of Women's Health. Uses effective communication skills with patients and staff; demonstrates proper telephone techniques and etiquette; shows sensitivity to differences of culture; demonstrates a positive and supportive manner in which patients perceive interactions as positive and supportive.
