Duties include installation of new equipment, making inspections and diagnosing trouble with a variety of equipment including power transformers, oil circuit breakers, vacuum circuit breakers, air circuit breakers, disconnect switches, lightning arrestors, voltage regulators, control apparatus, batteries, and chargers. Requires skill in connecting and reading electrical meters and devices, operation of aerial devices, and effective interpersonal communication.
