Complete assigned work orders such as minor plumbing work; i.e. unclogging toilets, replacing light bulbs and ballasts, patching & painting, working on both patient and staff phones, assembling and moving staff furniture, and smaller tasks that do not require work orders such as distributing copy/printer paper, replacing copier/printer toner and toner waste cartridges, emptying bins with documents marked for shredding, picking up garbage on hospital grounds, helping to conduct fire drills, conducting Environment of Care sweeps to look for ligature risks, blocked fire alarm pull stations, blocked electrical panels and blocked fire extinguishers along with stained or damaged ceiling tiles. - Hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
