Direct the day-to-day activities of the sales department; plan, organize, and assign work as needed, develop and communicate strategies and goals, train and advise team of policies and procedures; develop business through direct sales solicitation; secure new clients; maintain existing clients while executing sales plans strategy to maximize profitability of the hotel; follow up on leads to gain additional business. Achieve sales revenue goals by managing to sell in-house guests (this may include greeting tours, converse with guests during the continental breakfast and the rest of their stay with us) and room nights through outside sales calls, telemarketing, hotel site visits to include banquet facilities and tours, networking events; etc.
