Administrative functions - Provides back-up support for the Patient Services staff including such activities as greeting patients, registering patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting patients with registration forms, giving patient instructions, processing mail, scheduling follow-up visits, and completing patient check out. Clinical functions- tasks include taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.
