In the current environment, this role is especially focused on strengthening physiatry coverage, improving timely access to inpatient rehabilitation beds, reducing avoidable acute-care transfers, supporting capacity expansion at Rockville and White Oak, and helping position Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation for long-term growth through innovation, research, technology adoption, and the development of a rehab hospital to meet the changing demands of the post-acute care industry. Through direct leadership of rehabilitation physicians and close collaboration with nursing, therapy, care navigation, quality, finance, operations, physician enterprise, and system leadership, the CMO helps align clinical practice with Adventist HealthCare's mission, vision, RISES values, strategic plan and commitment to High Reliability Organization principles, and to delivering compassionate, coordinated, accessible, and excellent care.
