Work conditions are subject to both inside and outside environmental condition; exposure to extreme heat, elevated noise levels, proximity to moving parts, pinch points, solvents, high heat, high voltage electricity, hot surfaces, sparks, natural gas, oxygen, acetylene, high pressure air and hydraulic lines, sharp edges and tools, electromagnetic fields, and working at elevated heights (atmospheric conditions may require the use of a respirator). Under general supervision, the Refractory Team member will perform tearing out and installing of refractory bricks and monolithics in our steelmaking equipment: Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), Ladles, Tundish for continuous caster and vessel for RH Degasser.
