The candidate will maintain activities contributing to all facets of the Division of Music and the UMKC Conservatory, including academic, performance, and service components characteristic of a Conservatory within a university and collaboration with colleagues across Music, Dance, and Theatre, while making contributions that enrich the cultural environment and the quality of life in the greater Kansas City metropolitan community. We seek a violinist who will develop, in collaboration with string faculty colleagues and ensemble directors, a vision for modern string training that aligns with the Conservatory's vision of artistic and pedagogical excellence, community-centered learning, and research and creativity in the integrated performing arts, and who will guide its implementation across studio, chamber, and orchestral instruction.
