Performs general building maintenance and repair activities; performs carpentry, electrical, plumbing and mechanical maintenance and repair tasks; paints buildings, equipment and facilities; Performs carpentry, electrical, masonry, drywall, mechanical, electronic, and plumbing repair and maintenance work; Prepares surfaces for painting, paints walls, ceilings, doors, windows, cabinets, and equipment; Frames and lays out work to perform carpentry tasks; repairs walls and furniture; Installs and replaces receptacles and switches; pulls wire; installs light fixtures, ballasts, conduit, and computer wires; Repairs plumbing facilities and fixtures; Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, electronic, refrigeration and air conditioning malfunctions; repairs electric motors; Installs, services and repairs heating and air conditioning equipment; Prepares, mixes, and matches various paints, chemicals, and additives; Prepares reports, work orders, time sheets, logs, and records; Designs painting projects, estimates materials needs, and purchases materials; Prepares and installs signs; Refinishes furniture; moves furniture; Picks up and delivers furniture and supplies; Prepares meeting rooms; Assists with snow and ice removal; Assists other building mechanics and custodians; Performs custodial duties as assigned; Performs related tasks as required.
