Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tubes, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, titration of vasoactive and insulin drips, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams.
