Key skills required include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/Acute Stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, emergency medications, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and traumatic brain injury management.
