<h2>HR / Payroll Clerk</h2><h2><strong>Micro Metals Inc</strong></h2><h2><strong>Colorado Springs CO 80907<br/></strong></h2><p><a href="https://form.jotform.com/242056738498166?typeA343=https://form.jotform.com/242056738498166?typeA343=HR/Payroll_Clerk" rel="nofollow">Apply Here</a></p><p><strong>Job description</strong></p><h4>Role and Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Setting up appointments and arranging interviews for managers</li><li>Onboarding new employees for HR, Payroll, and Benefits</li><li>Preparing daily, weekly, quarterly, and monthly payroll, human resources, and labor reports</li><li>Maintaining payroll system by entering and updating data</li><li>Processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis</li><li>Compiling reports and spreadsheets and preparing spreadsheets as requested</li></ul><p>This position will be involved in several areas of human resources and payroll, including:</p><h4>Recruitment/New Hire Process</h4><ul><li>Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications</li><li>Scheduling job interviews</li><li>Preparing new employee files</li><li>Hosting new employee orientation to the organization</li><li>Conducting benefit enrollment process</li><li>Serving as a point person for all new employee questions</li></ul><h4><strong>Payroll and Benefits Administration</strong></h4><ul><li>Processing payroll, which includes ensuring vacation and sick time are tracked in online and offline systems</li><li>Facilitating resolutions to any payroll errors</li><li>Verifying payment requests for monthly insurance premiums</li><li>Setting up benefits for new hires</li><li>Preparing and distributing annual review paperwork to managers</li></ul><h4>Record Maintenance</h4><ul><li>Maintaining current HR files and databases</li><li>Updating and maintaining employee payroll, benefits, employment status, and similar records</li><li>Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained</li></ul><h4>To effectively perform the duties of a Human Resources/Payroll Clerk, individuals must be able to demonstrate a number of competencies that are essential to the position, which include:</h4><ul><li>Be adept at problem-solving</li><li>Have strong computer skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office</li><li>Previous payroll processing experience</li><li>Possess strong interpersonal skills</li><li>Be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the management team, and in group presentations and meetings</li><li>Be able to effectively read and interpret information</li><li>Be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently</li><li>Be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality</li><li>Be dependable, able to follow instructions, work independently, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback</li></ul><h4>Qualifications and Education Requirements</h4><ul><li>Associate degree or 3 years of work experience</li><li>Accounting and Bookkeeping experience preferred</li><li>Must be able to operate 10-key calculator by touch with a high degree of accuracy</li><li>Must be able to operate basic office equipment, advanced Excel proficiency preferred</li><li>Must have excellent communication skills</li></ul><h4>Competencies & Behaviors</h4><ul><li>Ability to effectively communicate relevant information across departments and externally to business partners</li><li>Positive, team-oriented attitude</li><li>Seeks out work, offers assistance, or guidance, when appropriate</li><li>Ethical conduct</li><li>Time management</li><li>Organization skills</li><li>Personal effectiveness/conduct</li></ul><h4>ADA Requirements</h4><p>Must be able to work in an office setting, sitting in one place for up to two (2) hours without getting up.
