As a Job Link Intern with the County of Sonoma, you will perform a variety of administrative and clerical activities, such as: creating, updating, and closing client case files (physical and/or electronic); creating and managing appointment spreadsheets; managing Job Link emails and interpretation requests; processing invoices and reimbursements; contacting clients quarterly for data collection purposes; entering data in program databases; answering phones and providing exceptional customer service; assisting Job Link staff with projects and client orientations; scheduling/attending meetings and taking notes; and performing other duties as assigned. As a Job Link Work Experience Intern, you will participate in structured on-the-job training assignments in the Employment and Training Division of the Human Services Department and will learn a wide variety of tasks, including:An overview of the function and services of the Job Link programMicrosoft Office Suite programs, data collection, and data entryCustomer service, time management, and organization skillsVerbal and written communication skillsTeamwork, leadership, and professionalismEMPLOYMENTInterns are not in the classified civil service and do not have property rights to permanently allocated positions.
