<p>Job Requirements</p><p>POSITION SUMMARY</p><p>Provides management oversite of the Facilities & Construction department at HRMC. Planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Facilities division at multiple locations, including a 500+ bed tertiary hospital and level 2 trauma center. The Manager is responsible for the compliance of regulations and standards for regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission, OSHA, AHCA and NFPA. The Manager organizes and directs the team on fulfilling department and hospital goals, oversight of operating and capital budgets, and ensures facility work orders and preventative maintenance services are completed successfully. Along with Safety Officer, ensures that all safety, life safety, and environment of care measures are adhered to. Also assists the construction team in safe and timely implementation of projects.</p><p>PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES</p><ul><li>Assists Director in preparing quarterly forecast, reviews monthly operating reports and evaluates variances, and ensures all invoices are paid on a timely basis</li><li>Obtains bids for contract work pertaining to maintenance or new installations and ensures proper installation services or products in a timely and correct manner</li><li>Actively monitors energy usage and coordinates activities to reduce consumption</li><li>Assists Director with developing and implementing long range plans for maintenance and facilities</li><li>Monitors and controls team member productivity to ensure effective use of personnel resources within approved financial resources</li><li>Ensures all Life Safety and Environment of Care measures are adhered to</li><li>Ensures the proper response to and manages emergency situations including disaster response, power/ other utilities loss, floods, etc</li><li>Assists construction team with construction activities which supports a safe and healthy work environment</li><li>Schedules, coordinates and oversees work orders and preventative maintenance programs and ensures they are completed and documented within appropriate timeframes</li><li>Develops and maintains records of all mechanical equipment and schedules periodic maintenance of this equipment</li><li>Coordinates with Clinical and Infection Control teams to minimize disruption in patient care delivery and hospital work flows</li><li>Overseas compliance with Joint Commission, AHCA, NFPA, OSHA, and all other regulatory agency requirements, ensures testing and inspections for all these agencies are accomplished in the appropriate timeline, and participates in regulatory agency surveys and inspections.</li></ul><p>LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES</p><ul><li>Define and communicate a clear, compelling vision for the team that effectively ties into the mission and vision of Health First, and inspirationally lead the team to achieve that vision.</li><li>Provide leadership, motivation, coaching, feedback and support to foster and strengthen growth and development of an effective, high performing team.</li><li>Lead change through effective communication, explaining the connection and value to the organization, creating stronger buy-in and urgency, while understanding impact to the team to obtain commitment.</li><li>Demonstrate openness to hearing diverse ideas and thoughts; create a sense of inclusivity; and encourage collaboration across teams to help break down silos to meet the team's and organization's goals.</li><li>Recruit, select, grow, and retain highly engaged, high performing diverse and inclusive associates.</li><li>Contribute to and support the strategic direction, and demonstrate financial acumen, for areas of responsibility and organization.</li></ul><p>Work Experience</p><p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Work Experience:</li><li>Two (2) years leadership experience.</li><li>Five (5) years of Healthcare Facilities experience.</li><li>Licensure: None</li><li>Certification: None</li><li>Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: None</li></ul><p>PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.</li><li>Certification: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM).</li></ul><p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p><ul><li>Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently.</li><li>May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.</li><li>May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders, or overhead.</li><li>May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift.</li><li>May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to loud noise.</li><li>May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines.</li><li>Communicating with others to exchange information.</li><li>Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.</li><li>Workspace may vary from open to confined.</li><li>May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.</li></ul><p>Benefits</p><p>ABOUT HEALTH FIRST</p><p>At Health First, diversity and inclusion are essential for our continued growth and evolution. You will be heavily involved with team members onboarding and training.  As the Assistant Manager, you will be leading the team through task completion and drive the success of club priorities and KPI goals.
