Removes old pipe and excavates for new pipes using backhoe and skid steer loader; transports pipe and equipment to job site; sets new pipe in place, levels and ensures correct elevations of pipe using transit; occasionally locates backfill material, loads it, and hauls it to job site using various equipment; backfills excavations, removes excess backfill material. Drives and operates complex construction and maintenance equipment such as motor graders, bulldozers, front end loaders, dump trucks, backhoe, roller, sweeper, low boy tractor trailers, and heavy excavating equipment in order to transport material and perform maintenance and repair activities.
