ENVIRONMENTAL --- CHIEF WWTP OPERATOR - (Equipment Technician V) Why Should You Apply:If you have experience working in an "activated sludge" wastewater treatment plant; have experience performing various wastewater laboratory tests; and have prior supervisory experience, then we invite you to consider applying for this position with the City of Lebanon What You Will Be Doing:<ul><li style="text-align:left">Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of the WWTP to ensure compliance with Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) operating permit</li><li style="text-align:left">Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled activities to facilitate safe completion of daily work assignments</li><li style="text-align:left">Provide guidance, assistance and/or supervision to lower-level associates</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li style="text-align:left">Associate degree in a wastewater related field PLUS four (4) years' experience in the operation of an activated sludge WWTP<ul><li style="text-align:left">Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred OR</li></ul></li><li style="text-align:left">High school diploma (or equivalent) PLUS six (6) years' experience in the operation of an activated sludge WWTP<ul><li style="text-align:left">Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred OR</li></ul></li><li style="text-align:left">Five (5) years of experience in an Equipment Technician III-IV position within the City of Lebanon or municipal government entity</li><li style="text-align:left">SUBSTITUTION: Additional education and/or certification(s) may be substituted on a year-for year basis for the required experience</li></ul>Licensing/Certification:<ul><li style="text-align:left">Valid Driver's License<ul><li style="text-align:left">"Class B" Commercial Driver's License will be required within six (6) months of employment</li></ul></li><li style="text-align:left">Wastewater Treatment "B" Certification</li></ul>We Need Someone Who:<ul><li>Has demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills</li><li>Has experience working within the wastewater field/profession </li><li>Has prior experience performing wastewater laboratory testing</li><li>Is committed to maintaining compliance with Federal and/or State regulations</li></ul>Additional Perks:<ul><li>Being a valued member of our WWTP team</li><li>Good workplace atmosphere</li><li>Great benefit package including paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, health/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, pension/retirement, deferred compensation, flexible spending, and YMCA membership</li></ul>Are You Ready to Apply?If you want to help the City of Lebanon's WWTP remain environmentally compliant, then we are interested in you!
