Hands-on assembly or repair of electric motors including redlining engineering drawings and creating build records• Support electric motor testing by taking component measurements, assembling test equipment, installing/removing motors from test equipment, and supporting flight test• Perform testing, validation, troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes in concert with design engineers• Assist in editing and implementing technical documentation• Performing in-process quality inspection tasks, feeling comfortable identifying and raising concern about process deviations and being an integral part of any troubleshooting efforts to solve them• Maintaining logs and check sheets throughout the build process, which requires proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software• Develop your expertise concerning electro-mechanical assembly of fully electric propulsion systems• Respect and foster a culture of safety, including working safely around high voltage. The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activities (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stairs), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery surfaces), bending, reaching, handling (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, picking, punching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
