Overview:
Join our team at BrightView Health as a Patient Services Representative and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient experiences. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:<ul><li>Serve as first point of contact for patient inquiries, customer services, and assisting with problem solving any patient issues.</li><li>Schedule and confirm patient appointments.</li><li>Collect point of service payments, including patient copays and other forms of patient financial responsibility.</li></ul></li><li>COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION:<ul><li>Communicate with various teams both within the clinic and with central support regarding patient appointments and follow-up needs.</li><li>Attend required meetings/huddles and collaboration within clinic team.</li></ul></li><li>DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE:<ul><li>Responsible for maintaining accurate new and current patient accounts, including insurance and billing information.</li><li>Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR part 2 desired.</li></ul></li></ul> KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong customer service-centric approach to work, take initiative to offer solutions to patient inquiries.</li><li>Highly empathetic and compassionate to effectively support the recovery journey of BrightView’s patients</li><li>Competent at working with a diverse population of colleagues and patients</li><li>Natural problem solver, looks for solutions to best meet patient needs with a sense of urgency</li><li>Team-player, able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment</li><li>Adaptable and agile within a dynamic work environment</li><li>Technologically capable, comfortable operating in multiple systems for communication and documentation purposes. If you meet the requirements and qualifications for this opportunity, we encourage you to apply.Aspects of this Position:<ul><li>100% outpatient only</li><li>Opportunity to work with a well-established team consisting of physicians, mid-level providers, licensed social workers, RNs and LPNs</li><li>Close proximity to community hospital for easy access to additional services</li><li>Epic EMR</li><li>No Call</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelors degree in social work</li><li>2 years of experience as a social worker in a primary care or acute care setting and community mental health center preferred</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Lifting up to 30 lbs 4-5 times per day</li><li>Carrying up to 20 lbs occasionally</li><li>Standing 1-2 hours at a time</li><li>Walking approx. 30 minutes per hour throughout the day</li><li>Withstands pressure and deals with emergency situations as needed</li><li>Normal coordination and/or visual attention to connection with the standard flow of work</li><li>Good working conditions in an office environment</li><li>Average working hours with possible non-traditional hours</li></ul>Specific Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide social work interventions to remove psychosocial barriers to health and wellness in primary care and specialty mental health department.</li><li>Collaborate with the other members of the healthcare team to move the patient towards self-management.</li><li>Advocate for and empower patients to maintain a level of control over their health and wellness.</li><li>Collaborates with members of the healthcare team, the patient/family and community liaisons to assure patients psychosocial and socioeconomics needs are addressed wherever possible.</li><li>Teach and provide education to promote understanding and skill building to enhance psychological and physical health.</li><li>Formulation of behavioral health interventions appropriate to primary care setting and assisting with implementation of PCP treatment plans.</li><li>Provide ongoing consultation services in primary care for subset of patients who require evaluation, ongoing monitoring and follow up during no shows and cancellations as requested and designated day assigned.</li><li>Triaging and referring patients to specialty mental health care when appropriate</li><li>Sharing knowledge with other team members and patients both formally and informally through use of EHR system.</li><li>Monitors outcome of care through use of patient reported outcome measures.</li><li>Provide close monitoring of patients through follow up contacts and coordinate services with other providers as necessary.</li><li>Provide culturally sensitive care</li><li>Applies customer service principles in care provision.</li><li>Provide crisis intervention; assess and coordinate protective service issues.</li><li>Manage a specific case load of patients referred by clinic staff.</li><li>Document interventions in patients medical records with 48 hours of service.</li><li>Complete scheduling and billing in timely fashion and according to policy.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of resources available in the area community.</li><li>Provide and maintain patient educational materials.</li><li>Maintain current in the field by attending seminars, continuing education courses, workshops, etc.</li><li>Adheres to all MVHCs policies and procedures fully cooperating with the MVHC Compliance Program.</li><li>Assist the patient in obtaining, processing, and understanding basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions.</li></ul>Position Details:<ul><li>Full-time with benefits</li></ul>About MVHC:At MVHC, we strive to create an environment which promotes healthy work-life balance, one that provides you with the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients, while maintaining your family and personal objectives.
