Radiology Technologist - Weekends Only HCA Healthcare IncRadiology Technologist - Weekends OnlySt Petersburg, FLYour tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) may include but are not limited to: Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time. Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies Qualifications: 2-year/Associate degree Hospital-based Radiologic Technology program Valid ARRT certification Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
