What you will do in this role: Under direct supervision of a pharmacist, fills medication orders, prepares routine compounds and solutions (sterile and non-sterile), prepackages medications, stocks and maintains levels of supplies in assigned work area, prepares and files documents and other records, operates computer and answers telephone/window as needed. Bell Hospital. The Acute Care Pharmacy Technician team serves our inpatient locations at our main campus in Kansas City, Kansas, by supporting the distribution, compounding, and packaging of medications across our inpatient units.
In addition, Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for daily cleaning of the sterile compounding areas, stocking supplies, calibrating equipment, scanning orders into the electronic medical record (EPIC) to ensure accuracy, placing as well as receiving drug orders, and stocking automated dispensing cabinets (Omnicell).
