The therapist will make arrangements with DME companies for patients’ respiratory care needs at home, perform after hours EKGs and PFTs clean any needed equipment and keep it in ready condition, provide patient/family education as well as staff education when needed, maintain a positive, friendly working attitude. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Upon receipt of physician’s order the Respiratory Therapist will: · Promptly deliver aerosolized medication, oxygen therapy, volume expansion therapy, initiate non-invasive and invasive mechanical ventilation, document all required information in patients’ chart, and participate in all CPR events.
