The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems, ensuring the proper functionality and integrity of these systems across various construction and industrial environments.<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Blueprint Interpretation: Study and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of piping systems.</li><li>Pipe Fabrication: Select, measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications using hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment.</li><li>Piping System Installation: Assemble and install piping systems according to design specifications, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment.</li><li>Testing & Inspections: Conduct tests and inspections to ensure the integrity and functionality of the piping system, identifying and rectifying any issues or leaks.</li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with other construction professionals, such as plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians, to ensure the integration of piping systems with other building components.</li><li>Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues to determine corrective actions.</li><li>Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.</li><li>Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including as-built drawings, material lists, and equipment specifications.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Proven experience as a pipe fitter with a strong understanding of piping systems and construction practices.</li><li>Welding experience is preferred.</li><li>Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.</li><li>Knowledge of various pipe materials and their applications.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.</li><li>Physical strength and stamina for lifting and working in various conditions.</li></ul><h3>Supervisory Responsibility</h3>This is a non-supervisory position.<h3>Working Conditions</h3><ul><li>Primarily working in construction and industrial environments.</li><li>The position requires working with tools, power equipment, and following safety protocols.</li><li>Ability to work in various weather conditions as required.</li></ul><h3>About STS Technical Services</h3>STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm, specializing in connecting top talent with leading companies in the aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial sectors. The finished product must meet or exceed customer specifications and production quality standards.Requires ability to work from complete assembly drawings, use a variety of hand and power tools and a broad knowledge of welding, torch cutting, cutting, and fitting pipe.
