Key Responsibilities Inspect project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements Evaluate bid documents, blueprints, proposals, and related materials Prepare and distribute transmittals, plans, and specifications during the bid process Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and complete project scope reviews Develop master budgets and cost models for assigned projects Provide accurate project estimates and bid summaries Communicate with contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to review estimates and resolve discrepancies Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 Specific Qualifications Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Prior plumbing industry experience required, with a strong working knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, fixtures, and installation practices Ability to read and interpret plumbing blueprints, specifications, and construction documents Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new software and digital tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel experience strongly preferred) Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and professionally Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Must pass background screening Work Environment & Physical Requirements Fully office-based position in a professional, team-oriented environment Fast-paced setting with deadlines tied to bid schedules Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer Frequent use of estimating software, spreadsheets, and digital plans Ability to review detailed documents and drawings for extended periods Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within the office Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (plans, files, or office materials) License Required Yes Job Locations US-TX-Sugar Land Company Overview IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
