The Cancer Program Coordinator, ODS-C (Oncology Data Specialist- Certified) (Formerly CTR, Certified Tumor Registrar) is responsible for collaborating with the appropriate health care team in ensuring documented patient care for patients undergoing cancer treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy) from diagnosis through post therapy follow-up as part of the cancer program requirements ensuring accuracy and compliance with recommended guidelines. In addition, the Cancer Program Coordinator, ODS-C is accountable for overseeing the following: committee meetings, documenting minutes, supporting quality initiatives, generating reports, and fostering collaboration among teams by sharing pertinent information to achieve further accreditations and maintain those once obtained.
