Working collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, the NP supports the safe and efficient management of patients throughout the procedural continuum, including pre-procedure assessment, preparation, coordination of care, post-procedure evaluation, patient education, and follow-up. The NP promotes timely patient progression, clinical quality, patient safety, and continuity of care while practicing in accordance with New York State regulations, organizational policies, medical staff bylaws, credentialing requirements, and the individual's approved scope of practice.
