The MT/MLT performs a wide range of laboratory tests on various patient samples (MLT I: under supervision of experienced testing staff); requires accurate collection and processing of samples, operating and maintaining diverse equipment, and skillfully conducting tests in a variety of disciplines; ensures diligent analysis and quality results are available to providers and other healthcare professionals; maintains patient confidentiality, adheres to safety regulations, and stays up to date with laboratory practices; and works with a team with highly skilled and knowledgeable medical laboratory professionals.
