Job Summary: The Medical Assistant may assume the following responsibilities: Verifies patient information by interviewing patient with two patient identifiers; reviewing and/or recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit or treatment. Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to their bed; providing procedural gowns and drapes; arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment.
