p>WORK ENVIRONMENT: Clean work area Frequent exposure to infections, contagious diseases, to the risk of bloodborne diseases Exposure to hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids and wastes Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards Frequent exposure to radiation, flammable and explosive gas hazards Exposure to a variety of electro-mechanical/power equipment Possible exposure to odorous chemicals, specimens, housekeeping cleaning agents and chemicals Subject to injury from moving parts of equipment Exposure to varying and unpredictable situations, and unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness) Handles emergency or crisis situations Subject to long, irregular hours Handles absentee replacement on short notice. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses and other ancillary professional staff • Ability to maintain daily schedules • Clinical skills to enable recognition and to function accordingly in relation to priorities of patient needs • Performs effectively with frequent workload changes and competing demands • Basic computer skills.

Requirements • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin, and • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
li>Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing (in accordance with state regulations). The Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist performs routine will perform routine x-ray examinations in accordance with Concentra policies, practices, and procedures and applicable regulations under direct supervision of the treating clinician, as well as supports in other needed areas of the facility.
