Required Qualifications: Two years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience in a Level I trauma setting; critical care or intensive care experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; experience with Phase I PACU care, dysrhythmia recognition and management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, intravenous access initiation and maintenance, intravenous vasopressors, intracranial pressure monitoring, care of ventilated patients, drains, mechanical ventilation, recovery from general anesthesia, preoperative assessment, and electrocardiogram rhythm analysis; required electronic charting system experience. Patient care may involve artificial airways, invasive monitoring, transfusions, vasoactive medications, and postoperative management following neurosurgery, ear, nose, and throat procedures, plastic surgery, orthopedics, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, trauma, general surgery, colorectal surgery, gynecology, urology, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant procedures.
