The AP is a direct-care professional who assists with the day-to-day operation of the residential facility, supports implementation of each child's treatment plan, provides supervision and direction to Paraprofessional staff as assigned, and participates in service-planning activities. The AP must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to work with the population served, including technical knowledge, cultural awareness, analytical and decision-making abilities, interpersonal and communication skills, and clinical skills.
