A Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner, under the direction of a respiratory supervisor, Administrative and Medical Director, assesses, treats, manages, controls, diagnostics evaluates and cares for patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the pulmonary system. It uses medical gases and administration apparatus, ventilator support, humidification, aerosols, medication, broncho-pulmonary drainage, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway management in the therapeutic support of the patient.
