Answers incoming calls, completes follow-up and referral work queues, and ticket scheduling. Communicates with patient care teams as necessary to ensure efficient, appropriate care for patients. Must be located in the Bismarck area to be eligible. **Job Summary** Serve as Sanford systems administrator for both in-house and outpatient scheduling which includes responsibility for the maintenance, security, teaching and analytical recovery offered by the scheduling system. The RN Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling procedures, ensuring compliance with facility guidelines and documentation requirements. This role serves as a liaison between providers, clinics, clinical teams, and other team members to maintain an efficient and accurate scheduling process. Key duties may include managing department calendars in the EMR system, verifying documentation, procedure planning, and coordinating resources such as staffing, equipment, and if in a procedural department, anesthesia. The position also supports operational workflows by attending departmental meetings, distributing procedural reports, and assisting with patient flow. Additional responsibilities may include collaborating across multiple departments, providing pre/post procedure instructions to patients and family, and working closely with prior authorization resources to ensure procedures are authorized before scheduling. Knowledge of insurance referrals for VA, IHS, WFS, etc. is preferred. May assist APPs in clinic setting with rooming patients and providing patient education. The RN Scheduler upholds HIPAA standards and contributes to overall departmental service optimization. **Qualifications** Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
