The employee plans, prioritizes, assigns, performs, and documents preventive maintenance and repairs; supervises assigned shop personnel; maintains parts, fuel, mileage, and repair records; and helps ensure that school buses and other district vehicles are safe, reliable, compliant, and ready for service. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: The employee must be able to inspect, service, and repair vehicles; use tools and diagnostic equipment; lift and move parts and equipment; bend, stoop, climb, reach, and work beneath or around vehicles; and work in indoor and outdoor conditions that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, grease, and exposure to hazardous materials.
