In this role, you will work hands-on with new and existing multifamily buildings to inspect, test, and guide teams toward meeting sustainability goals. This role helps make sure that buildings perform as intended, improving energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and creating healthier places for people to live. Your expertise will support certifications including ENERGY STAR, Passive House, and LEED, ensuring that building science principles are translated into actionable steps that improve energy performance.The proposed annual salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 based on a 40-hour work schedule. The final salary may vary depending on confirmed job-related skills and experience.Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodation will be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<ul><li>Inspect and test buildings, including under construction, to verify sustainability measures are implemented.</li><li>Clearly communicate building science principles and green building program requirements to project teams.</li><li>Review architectural and mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals, offering recommendations to optimize performance.</li><li>Prepare documentation, calculations, and analyses to support certification programs (ENERGY STAR, Passive House, LEED, etc.).</li><li>Conduct research on emerging sustainability technologies, programs, and policies.</li></ul>Who You Are:<ul><li>HERS Rater credential is preferred (will consider alternate construction inspection experience).</li><li>2-5 years of experience in building design and construction, including onsite experience.</li><li>B.S. in architectural engineering, building technologies, construction management, architecture, or a building-related engineering field.</li><li>Ability to read and review construction drawings and specifications.</li><li>Solid knowledge of building science includes multifamily mechanical, structural, and thermal envelope systems.</li></ul>What You Bring:<ul><li>Excellent communicator, able to explain complex ideas clearly in writing, verbal, and presentations.</li><li>Proven ability to work independently, managing time and projects effectively.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills, maturity, credibility, and integrity.</li><li>Collaborative team player, with a strong focus on achieving collective goals.</li><li>Self-motivated, passionate, and dedicated to improving the built environment.</li><li>Proficient in standard business software (e.g. MS Office), Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.</li><li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and confidence navigating urban environments.</li></ul>Preferred Technical Knowledge:<ul><li>Certifications such as HERS, LEED for Homes Green Rater, BPI Multifamily Building Analyst, or NGBS Green Verifier.</li><li>Experience with green building certification programs (e.g., LEED for Homes, ENERGY STAR Homes, National Green Building Standard, or Enterprise Green Communities).</li><li>Knowledge of energy codes and/or ASHRAE standards.</li><li>Experience analyzing utility data and performing energy-related spreadsheet calculations.</li></ul>PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:<ul><li>This is a heavy field-based position requiring frequent movement through active construction sites, including climbing stairs and ladders, bending, reaching, and carrying equipment.</li><li>The employee is required to lift or move equipment up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to type, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Strategy:<ul><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Develop and execute the regional sales strategy to meet or exceed sales targets and company objectives for the assigned territory.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Identify and prioritize key accounts and sales opportunities to expand market share in the region.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Conduct frequent sales presentations.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align strategies and messaging for the region. Working closely with agents to drive sales growth.</li></ul>Customer Relationship Management:<ul><li style="margin:0in 0in 8pt 45pt">Build and maintain strong relationships with specifiers, agents, key customers, architects, designers, lighting consultants, and electrical contractors.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 8pt 45pt">Provide expert guidance on product selection and applications to meet customer needs and specifications.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 8pt 45pt">Deliver tailored solutions to customers through high-quality consultations and presentations. Interface with other RSMs for out of territory projects.</li></ul>Sales Performance & Reporting:<ul><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Regularly analyze sales data and regional performance to ensure targets are met.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis to senior management.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Monitor competitors and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and product positioning.</li></ul>Team Collaboration & Leadership:<ul><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Work closely with the Selux team, including quotes, inside sales, product and project management, technical support, marketing, engineering and manufacturing, to ensure exceptional service delivery.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Participate in training and professional development programs for team members and partners in the region.</li></ul>Product Knowledge & Promotion:<ul><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Stay current on Selux product offerings and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Conduct product training sessions for key stakeholders, partners, and customers.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Attend industry events and trade shows to represent Selux and grow brand visibility in the region.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the lighting, architecture, or construction industries.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Proven track record of successfully managing sales territory and achieving revenue goals.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">In-depth knowledge of the East Coast market and building industry.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Strong relationships within the architectural, design, and contractor community.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Experience with architectural lighting solutions and smart building technologies.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8pt">Existing relationships with design firms, contractors, and distributors in the region.</li></ul>Knowledge of lighting codes, standards, and energy efficiency regulations
