Basic knowledge of board policies and procedures; thorough knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice, individual educational plans, play-based teaching techniques and strategies, lesson planning, local state and federal laws, rules and regulations regarding special education, the concept of least restrictive environment, and developmentally appropriate courses of study.
