Make rounds - Make visual rounds of unit - See any sick residents first, check all O2 for correct rate, look for safety - alarms, medications in room, call lights in place etc, infection control - tubing labeled, briefs not in trash cans, bags in trash cans, resident care-positioning, room cleanliness. GENERAL SUMMARY: The Charge Nurse is an RN Supervisor who is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls, as indicated.
