Role Overview: The Memory Bear Maker Volunteer creates handmade keepsake bears using clothing or fabric provided by hospice families. These bears serve as deeply meaningful mementos honoring a loved one and supporting families in their grief journey.

Location: Remote / Home-Based Time Commitment: Flexible | Self-Directed Role Overview: The Memory Bear Maker Volunteer creates handmade keepsake bears using clothing or fabric provided by hospice families. These bears serve as deeply meaningful mementos honoring a loved one and supporting families in their grief journey. Volunteer Responsibilities: <ul><li><ul><li>Sew memory bears from donated clothing or fabric </li><li>Communicate occasionally with hospice staff regarding supply needs </li><li>Work independently from home at your own pace </li><li>Return completed bears to the hospice office as arranged </li></ul></li></ul>This Role Is Perfect For Someone Who: <ul><li><ul><li>Enjoys sewing, crafting, or quilting </li><li>Prefers quiet, behind-the-scenes service </li><li>Wants meaningful impact without patient interaction </li></ul></li></ul>Flexibility & Autonomy: <ul><li><ul><li>Completely self-paced and home-based </li><li>No set schedule or weekly commitment </li><li>Volunteers accept projects as they are available </li></ul></li></ul>Annual Volunteer Requirements (Required for All Hospice Volunteers): <ul><li><ul><li>Background check </li><li>Annual volunteer orientation & training </li><li>HIPAA & safety compliance modules </li></ul></li></ul>
