This position will operate heavy automotive and construction equipment to support PROS construction, maintenance, and operational activities, including hauling materials, site preparation, and assisting field crews as needed.
The incumbent in this position will be responsible for operating dump and stake body trucks, water carriers, light tractors, vans, motorized sweepers, wreckers, pickup trucks, forklifts, and other vehicles used in varied operations throughout the County. Six months of experience operating light equipment such as tractors and trucks, dump trucks, water tank trucks, or similar equipment are required.
Additionally, the specialist coordinates with vendors for order fulfillment and warranty claims, supports onboarding and offboarding activities by ensuring timely equipment provisioning and collection, and works closely with IT support teams to ensure all assets are properly configured, secured, and aligned with operational needs. The direct workload of the IT Asset Management Specialist consists of managing daily asset lifecycle activities, including receiving, tagging, and deploying new equipment; tracking and updating asset records within the inventory management system; and processing equipment transfers, repairs, and retirements.
Responsibilities include field inspections, schedule coordination, contractor oversight, enforcing corrective actions, maintaining required records, and supporting construction and renovation projects. Must possess a current valid State of Florida Certificate of Competency as an Elevator Inspector.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) principles and demonstrate proficiency with ESRI products, including ArcGIS and ArcGIS Pro.
