High-end custom upholstered furniture workroom looking for an energetic, technically skilled individual with the fabrication skills required to assist in the production of hardwood furniture frames. Working with the Owner and Upholstery Team Leader to produce frames for new furniture, including chairs, sofas, and beds.

 High-end custom upholstered furniture workroom looking for an energetic, technically skilled individual with the fabrication skills required to assist in the production of hardwood furniture frames. Primary Responsibilities <ul><li>Working with the Owner and Upholstery Team Leader to produce frames for new furniture, including chairs, sofas, and beds</li><li>Assisting in the modification and assembly of repurposed furniture and frames</li><li>Learning the methods and techniques of traditional and modern frame making, as practiced in our workroom</li><li>Working to ensure initiatives related to cost improvements and production efficiencies are practiced</li><li>Maintaining safety, quality and equipment standards</li></ul>Skills and Qualifications <ul><li>Experience making and/or designing wood furniture frames including proficiency with all of the major hand tools and machines</li><li>Technical proficiency, including the ability to read and interpret frame drawings</li><li>Eagerness to learn and dedication to commit the time required to do so</li><li>Collaborative and team-oriented persona including collaborating with other frame makers</li><li>Effective verbal communication skills</li><li>Care and meticulous attention to detail</li><li>Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment </li></ul>

If you are an experienced Carpenter with a positive attitude, we want to hear from you.  Responsibilities <ul><li>Follow all safety rules and regulations</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment</li><li>Use blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed</li><li>Construct cabinets, counters, millwork and install </li><li>Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals</li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li> able to Read and interpret drawings and specifications and prepare cut lists.</li><li> Build, and assemble custom millwork, furniture, kitchens and vanities.</li><li> Plan your tasks to make efficient use of time and equipment.</li><li> Set up and operate production equipment to produce components according to drawings.</li><li> Work with different materials including engineered wood products, veneers and fine hardwoods.</li><li> Verify compliance of produced components with design documents.</li><li> Assemble components into completed units using fasteners, adhesives, and joinery techniques.</li><li> Prepare surfaces for finishing department.</li><li>Ability to work independently and with other employees.</li><li> Must be able to lift 50lbs.</li><li>2+ years of relevant experience </li></ul>
