    Job Description

At Amazon, your career doesn't follow a straight line. It accelerates, twists, and challenges you in ways you never expected. From the moment you join, you're part of something big: building products or services that reach millions and shaping how people live, work, and connect every day. This is where your ideas turn into real impact.

You'll work with world class tools, global platforms, and systems built to operate at an extraordinary scale. You'll move fast, experiment and launch solutions that matter. With endless opportunities to explore across teams and roles, you'll learn quickly, apply what you know and discover skills you didn't know existed. This is an environment designed for builders who want to see the impact of their work in the world. Ready to start your adventure?

    What's in it for you?

An internship at Amazon means real responsibility from day one. You'll build, test, and learn alongside people who want to see you succeed, while making an impact that reaches far beyond campus.

    Key job responsibilities

Work backwards from the customer, identifying inputs to grow brands and improve their performance across Amazon"s retail categories.

Support vendor managers and cross-functional teams - including in-stock, marketing, and category teams - to deliver business growth.

Build an understanding of customer pain points, requirements, and potential value that can be delivered through retail, advertising, or merchant services.

Identify target accounts using market data and industry intelligence, and learn the advertising or merchant services portfolio.

Collect, analyse, and review data to develop analytical and problem-solving skills, uncovering insights that drive business improvement.

Identify opportunities to improve products, services, processes, systems, and tools across the business.

Work with product teams and technical support teams to implement improvement projects.

    A day in the life

Every day is a little different as an Account Representative Intern. Depending on your team, you might be supporting a vendor manager to grow a strategic brand within a retail category, helping account managers create compelling advertising presentations for clients, or driving new business growth across Amazon"s third-party merchants. You might spend your morning analysing market data and customer insights to identify target accounts and growth opportunities, then spend your afternoon working with category or product teams to implement an improvement project.

Amazon is a customer-obsessed business, so no matter which team you join, part of your role will involve working backwards from the customer to understand their pain points and deliver value. You"ll gain a deep understanding of Amazon"s e-commerce retail business, advertising products, or merchant services portfolio, and partner across functions to deliver results - building your analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Note: You must have the right to work in the country of employment by the start date.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
