The Special Assets Relationship Manager is responsible for the collections, restructuring, and relationship management problems of Commercial and Real Estate clients with exposures up to $1 million (I), $5 million (II), $10,000,000 (III), over $10,000,000 (IV) within the commercial or real estate lending portfolio. Maintain regular contact with borrower(s) and/or guarantor(s), recommend and implement legal action with the assistance of outside counsel, if necessary, upon default (i.e. foreclosure, levies, attachments, bankruptcies and ensure proper collection procedures and techniques are followed and documented in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.

The SBA Lending Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing strategies to originate SBA loans in the marketplace, as well as partnering with Retail branches and the Commercial lending network in order to develop strategies relating to referrals from internal sources. Call on and develop a referral network with commercial real estate brokers, business brokers, business/professional associations, accountants, lawyers, etc. in order to solicit SBA loan opportunities.

Keep abreast of regulatory, economic, and financial market trends, the Relationship Manager will actively participate in community functions, and continue to expand their knowledge in all Private Banking and wealth management services including credit, risk management, investments, financial planning, fiduciary, and insurance as well as real estate, retirement, and tax planning. Serve as the primary liaison to internal partners in the Commercial and Consumer divisions, as well as for external centers of influence for wealth management services including investment management, financial planning, Trust, and brokerage services.

The position will (i) work closely with the Marketing team to help design the end-user marketing campaigns, (ii) be responsible for making outbound calls to the end-users who were targeted in the marketing campaigns, (iii) be responsible for all inbound calls that come from end-users who wish to pursue additional financing from NewLane, (iv) work closely with the credit team and FC’s to submit all applications received promptly and immediately convey all decisions directly to the end-user, (v) work with the end-user, the end user’s vendor, and NewLane’s FCs to assure that the documentation and closing process is done quickly and effectively, and (vi) provide ongoing support and exceptional customer service experience to the end-users. This position will help grow the Direct Lending channel for NewLane Finance by targeting existing NewLane end users (and applicants) and offering additional equipment financing solutions to them to expand their relationship with NewLane.
