Description

Our client, a financial services company, is seeking a part-time Employee Benefits Coordinator to support their Human Resources team at a Midtown Manhattan office. This role assists with day-to-day administration of employee health, retirement, and wellness benefit programs, serving as a point of contact for staff questions and helping ensure accurate recordkeeping across systems.

The position works closely with HR generalists and payroll to process enrollments, changes, and terminations, and helps prepare materials for open enrollment periods. This is a good opportunity for someone early in their HR career who wants hands-on experience with benefits administration in a professional office environment.

The role is on-site and part-time, with a schedule generally falling within standard business hours. Attention to detail and comfort handling confidential employee information are important for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Process employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Respond to employee questions about health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
  • Maintain accurate benefits records in HRIS and vendor portals
  • Assist with open enrollment communications and scheduling
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices against enrollment data
  • Support new hire orientation sessions for benefits topics
  • Prepare routine reports for HR leadership
  • File and organize benefits-related documentation

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior office or administrative experience helpful but not required
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Comfortable working with multiple software systems and portals
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational habits
  • Reliable and punctual for a set part-time schedule
