Every service is delivered at no cost, regardless of insurance status.Role OverviewAs HR Generalist, you will own day‑to‑day HR operations for our growing team of 70+ staff and 100+ volunteers. You will handle recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and HR compliance with California labor laws.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end‑to‑end recruiting: postings, screening, interview coordination, offer lettersManage onboarding for new hires including I‑9, W‑4, payroll setup, and orientationAdminister benefits enrollment and changes (health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA)Handle employee relations: investigations, conflict resolution, performance documentationMaintain HRIS records, employee files, and compliance documentationStay current on CA labor law (sick leave, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, wage and hour)Qualifications3+ years HR generalist experience; healthcare or nonprofit a plusPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferredStrong knowledge of California employment lawBachelor's degree in HR, business, or related fieldBilingual ability a plus (Spanish, Korean, Armenian)What we OfferCompetitive salary ($55,000–$80,000)Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k)PHR/SHRM-CP certification fundedHybrid flexibility for documentation workMission‑driven culture supporting front‑line caregiversWhat to Expect on the JobYour days will mix recruiting calls, benefits questions, employee relations conversations, and policy work.
