Position Summary The Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation of extended-day activities at an assigned
site.
The
Coordinator
provides
leadership,
direction,
and
supervision
for
all
program
activities
outlined
in
the
Project
Excel
grant,
ensuring
alignment
with
District
curriculum,
programming
requirements,
and
program
goals
and
objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's
Degree
in
Education
or
related
field.
Must
work
within
the
assigned
building
during
the
day
or
have
previously
served
as
a
Site
Coordinator
in
a
21st
Century
Community
Learning
Center
for
a
minimum
of
two
years.
Must
meet
one
of
the
following
criteria:
Minimum
of
12
semester
hours
in
Child
Development,
Child
Psychology,
Early
Childhood
Education,
Elementary
Education,
Physical
Education
or
Recreation
Child
Development
Associate
Credential;
the
following
curriculums
are
now
accepted
as
being
equivalent
to
the
Child
Development
Associate
Credential
(CDA):
Michigan
4C
School
Age
Credentialing
Program,
High/Scope
Lead
Teacher
Training
Program
Montessori
credential
by
a
Montessori
teacher
training
institution
recognized
by
the
Montessori
Accreditation
Council
for
Teacher
Education
(MACTE).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work
with
school
planning
teams,
and
others
to
select
appropriate
materials
and
instructional
focus
for
use
with
students.
Provide
on-site
monitoring
of
instructional
programs.
Develop
and
implement
school
schedules.
Coordinate
transportation
and
bus
routing
for
students.
Order
supplies,
materials,
and
equipment
through
the
Project
Excel
Office.
Supervise
volunteers
and
community
liaisons.
Supervise
and
evaluate
site
staff.
Monitor
records,
including
daily
attendance
and
registration.
Plan
and
implement
programs,
exhibits,
performances
and
community
workshops.
Maintain
site
budget.
Maintain
contact
and
communicate
with
outside
agencies.
Complete
federal,
state,
and
District
reports
as
requested
by
the
Supervisor
of
Project
Excel.
Attend
all
Site
Coordinator
staff
meetings,
state
meetings
and
trainings.
Recruit
students
for
tutoring
and
enrichment
programs.
