Commercial Lines Account Manager, Real Estate & Construction
A premier boutique brokerage in North Jersey is seeking a seasoned Account Executive to take ownership of a large real estate and construction-focused book. This role is ideal for a senior professional who thrives in a sophisticated, fast‑moving environment and excels at managing complex, high‑value accounts.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage large real estate and construction book with accounts up to $8M in premium
- Work closely with principal
- Negotiate and place accounts with captives and carriers
- Comfortably manage large deductible programs and loss sensitive plans
- Navigate NY/NJ labor laws with confidence
- In addition to real estate, manufacturing and transportations, expertise with construction‑specific certs, endorsements, loss runs, WIP reports, and multifaceted applications
- Manage individual project policies, coordinate with underwriters, and ensure accurate documentation
- Lead detailed contract reviews, including indemnity clauses, liability limitations, scopes of work, and design‑build considerations
- Identify coverage gaps and address excessive client/subcontractor requirements
- Run the book end‑to‑end using EPIC
